IP Multicast: Pim Sparse mode

Using PIM dense mode on 3 routers, process cpu was 44% every 5minutes running two multicast video streams

after using pim sparse-mode on 3 routers, process cpu was 6% every 5minutes running two multicast video streams.

Router 1

3750 Stack switch

ip pim sparse-mode

ip pim rp-address 192.168.2.3

end

In this set up, 3750 stack switch is the RP.
